Favorite style!
These are my favorite style of kick stand. Light weight and strong spring especially when you put the stand up. The design allows for multiple installations, with and without the mounting bracket. Pay attention to the existing angles of the original tip if you are cutting to length. There is more than one cut needed to create the right shape on the tip. Aluminum is very easy to file smooth. Greenfield has been manufacturing this lean stand for decades and the functionality, light weight, and quality are stil there. I have used one on more than fifteen bicycles through the years- everything from a Schwinn Varsity to Litespeed Classic- and they always do exactly what they were designed to do, which is to support the bicycle when needed and stay out of my way when no in use without weighing a ton. Great stand , but read my review .
The you tube instructions for this show the bolt going from the top plate down into the bottom plate, I think that was for the other model , I found that on this retro model the bolt has to go from the bottom plate ( the actual stand ) up through the fork into the top plate , you then stick an allen wrench underneath into the bolt and tighten it , I did this and it works as intended .
