Kings of metal
Manowar are a dying breed. A band that plays metal. Not rock, not emo, not punk, just plain straightforward no nonsense metal. For those who don't know, Manowar songs are like a soundtrack to a Conan movie. Songs about Odin, Valhalla, riding into battle weilding your sword and crushing your enemies. It's all good stuff. Musically I'd say if you like Judas Priest, you should like them. It's only the lyrics that you might not like as they can be a little samey, but who cares, it's good old fashioned METAL we've got here it's not going to change the world. Between songs, there are occasional spoken word intro's setting the scene for the song and getting you into the story each song is telling. It's all loin girding stuff. Hail to Manowar !
A great Manowar cd, boding well for the future of these giants of metal. A little heavy on the orchestration and spoken word narratives, but when they get down to doing what they do best, playing balls out, epic, heavy metal, Manowar kill with power.

put it this way i now want too go watch them or at least buy the live gods of war i have all manowar cds i go to all the big concerts the next one im going to is wacken in germany very much looking forward to that weekend metal dude kev
