These pickups are just great, the neck pickup gives a lot of bottom and warmth without sacrificing treble or presence, its ideal for jazz and blues. The bridge pickup is glass, not much low end (if any)with decent mids but it cuts right into whatever you have on top of it, it will rip your head off with a higain preamp like a MesaBoogie or a 5150. It has tons of balls in it, not jazzy or bluesy at all, this is a treble maker. Combined they give you the perfect match for rock, heavy rock, blues rock and that pop sound you are looking for.
