Very small area for storage and I really couldn't find a reason for the small velcro pouch but it will suit my needs since I need it for cycling and not an everyday carry all. It will also be handy as far as being able to clip on other items if needed. The fit feels good and the buckle is really tight so not much chance of it falling off. This item arrived much sooner than expected.
