Clamps are already on the cover and no velcro either. It has 4 bars. The old one, with 3 bars broke n cause water bill up from rain n snow and started to sink in. The instructions were simple and you need a second person to help maybe if you are a woman like me. To help lift it onto the back of the trk bed. It needs to be even and strength to pull the levers dwn in place. Tight perfect fit
