    Surprisingly heavy generic scale

    I was surprised how much this thing weighs - 105 grams (3.7 oz) according to itself. I bought this mainly to use for fishing, with weighing luggage as a secondary use, but its weight isn't ideal to take on a hike. Hopefully the weight is due to sturdy metal construction hidden by its plastic case. As another review mentions, the hook is too small to fit many suitcase handles and the link attaching it is welded shut. Otherwise the scale seems simple to use and to work well.

    Needs a bigger “J” hook

    Scale works well...but the hook is way too small to wrap around the handle of a large bag (ie...the size bag that would potentially weight #50 plus). Good scale, I make due with a nylon strap/ buckle that I put around the handle but not ideal.

    Afraid the battery will run out because the switch easily presses on.

    It worked for this trip and I hope it will last until the next trip. I wish that the switch was not a push on button, so I change the battery position so that it does not run while it's packed. I am very happy other than the switch easily going into the on position while being packed. Weighs correctly.
