This particular version of the game can be played with the controller or with PlayStation accessories like the Move wand or a rifle-style controller. Up to four people can take part in realistic, extreme conditions and hunting adventures as they track down huge beasts in their natural habitats around the world. This edition of "Big Game Hunter" for the PS3 has detailed renders of animals with movements that you can track in order to predict what they will do next.Players earn credits to upgrade their weapons and gear to make sure they're properly outfitted to take on the different animals available in a variety of real-world terrains. Weather hazards and other realistic changes will impact just how easily you can track the animals. You can also learn the best ways to slip around quietly and avoid being detected. Line up the perfect shot and become a master of shooting in this fully immersive environment. Play alone online or offline or in multiplayer mode to track elk, deer, moose, bears, and other big game.Cabela takes you to places in North America like Montana, Texas, Alaska, and Mexico, and you can even travel to Namibia in your quest to hunt big game. Five different types of hunts are available in each game location with lush, detailed environments that are fully intricate replications of their real life locations. The beasts you track and shoot in each location are specific to that spot, putting you face to face with some truly exotic and powerful wildlife.Make use of our Hunter Sense on each hunt, which lets you track down an animal's last known location in a monochromatic flashback. Each animal now has improved realistic AI, more than in any of the previous Cabela games. They can take you by surprise and put you on the run, changing just who is the prey and who is the hunter. Stealth hunts and timed hunts add an extra layer of challenge in "Big Game Hunter," forcing the player to use thick bushes and other forms of cover to slowly track the prey within a certain time limit.In between each wilderness adventure, the player can visit the virtual store to purchase and upgrade weapons and other accessories. You can also take pictures of rare animals in their natural environment. A gallery for reflex and target practice is available for you to hone your skills before taking on another adventure. "Cabela's Big Game Hunter" for the PS3 is rated T for Teen due to blood and violence.
