    solvit plus pet stairs

    Got it for my older dog. He is about 22 pounds. The ladder handles well when he uses it. I prop the back end against my bed really well to make it sturdier. A larger dog would not feel comfortable on it but there are various sizes (weight and size specific). One issue I noticed is that the very edge of each step is slippery for the dog. I will have to get some non-stick strips for the edge. If you watch your dog going up and down to your bedroom upstairs, you will notice that they do use the edge of the stairs like we humans do. So, I think the product should have the non-slip strips. Hence, the four stars.

    Misrepresented item, not by this seller per se but the manufacturer.

    This item would probably support the weight it claims to but it is not proportionally built for a dog that would weigh approx 120 lbs. It is WAY too narrow and the steps themselves are not deep enough for my big boy to even try to step on them. They have just enough movement to them to scare him off, not from slipping on the floor but from the shift on the back support. These would work fine for a small or possibly some medium size dogs but NOT for pups of any size at all.

    Good for some dogs

    The stairs are good for some dogs, but didn't work for my newly blind dog who needs a way to get on and off my bed. The stairs are too close together for a medium or large dog. I'd guess a Cavalier King Charles size would be the biggest these would work for. My girl is 46 pounds - medium - and the stairs were very wobbly with that weight. Good for small dogs! Convenient, mobile, light weight. The best part of the experience was the excellent cus tomer service I received from the seller. There were no questions asked, he sounded like a real person via email, was very sorrythese didn't work for my dog. He told me to just put the box outside my door, he had already ordered a free pick up. What??! Who does that?? What a nice surprise. This seller has my business for life!

    A little slippery

    These steps are great as they allow my daschund to get up on the bed easier. Saying that, they are a little slippery for dogs who know how to use them and run up. My dog has used a similar product for many years and it was fully carpeted so no slipping. I now have a higher bed and she tends to slip getting up on occasion. Other than that, they are very sturdy.

    Great step helper for pets

    I got this for my dog who has a joint problem on one side. This Pup Step really makes it easy for her to climb onto my high bed (yes she is a little spoiled). She cannot make without this. I love that it is so lightweight and so super easy to set up. I really recommend this product and it is just what I have been needing.
