NotesDigitally re-mastered edition of this 1984 album. Six years and five albums after their debut, Van Halen had become one of the biggest bands in world around the release of 1984, which includes a number of the band’s most legendary songs such as the #1 hit, "Jump", "Panama" and "Hot For Teacher." Mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who re-mastered the original albums at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios, was enlisted for this new version. In order to produce the original sound the band intended, Bellman cut straight from the quarter-inch tapes.

One of Van Halen's Best Offerings
This album is a stand out for any Van Halen fans for several reasons: It is the last album with David Lee Roth as lead vocalist, Eddie Van Halen was highlighting his new (at the time) keyboard skills (see Jump). There are many hits on this disc and the cover art is a classic as well. For those reasons alone 1984 stands out in the annals of time for it's uniqueness. The cd is crystal clear, no skipping. I'd recommend any VH fan to add this iconic album to their collection, you won't be sorry!
