    Tried and proven

    I have used Cannon Down Riggers for years. I started with the basic hand crank models and eventually moved up to the electric models. The electric models make catching fish while trolling simple. During this pandemic I purchased a smaller boat and would troll using a leaded line. The problem with leaded line is getting your line down to where the fish are at. It truly becomes scientific trying to estimate line depth based on boat speed plus the number of colors you're out plus size and type of lure that you are using - enough is enough! Using a down rigger system takes the guess work out of line depth. I purchased two Cannon Down Riggers (crank models) for my smaller boat and became more successful in catching fish.     great unit for the price.

    Excellent for the weekend fisherman. Wish they had left 2 things alone the pole holder adjustment needs to have the hand crank back and the pole holder that did nit have a bottom is much preferred to the current one with the closed bottom.

    Easi Troll2

    Even tho this was an older model it was in new unused condition. The Easi Troll down riggers are excellent low cost units well suited for small fishing boats. The new versions have the depth counter at the end of the boom which I have read do not work as well. I have owned an Easi Troll for well over 20 yrs with not one problem. Caught many trout and kokanee here in the Sierra.
