They were securely packaged in a box with tissue in the toes and around the shoes and inside a plastic shipping bag. Additionally, before shipping I was notified that the seller noticed a very slight imperfection in the shoe leather and they offered me the chance to cancel the order or receive a discount. I accepted the discount and the shoes are beautiful and even better than I hoped. I definitely got an excellent value!
