    Nice option to have!

    This is the original remote for my JVC KD-R980BTS head unit, but JVC no longer includes this inside the box. I also have the JVC KD-R970BTS head unit in another car and this remote was included inside it's box. The two head units are very similar with the exception of a slight change in the display's readout, otherwise specs are identical. I suppose some bean counter decided JVC would save some $$ by deleting the remote on the newer model! I was able to find one on Ebay for under $10 and it's the original JVC unit and not a knockoff. It comes in handy to change functions, mute the radio or raise and lower the volume without taking my eyes off the road. There is an earlier model of this remote (RM-RK50) which is said to be a substitute, but I chose to get the one listed in the owner's ...

    Using on my bike

    I needed a way to adjust the volume from a ride position easier. I have this clipped on to a retractable device that I can just pick up, pull out, point and adjust. Is working well.

    Good product at the rite price !

    I couldn't find the remote for my JVC auto receiver, thought I'd thrown it out in the trash can which was next to the remote control. It was found later inside a box of tissues in the truck. Now I have two !
