    INFERIOR COPY OF BRIGGS STRATTON PART

    The recoil pull starter broke on my 2nd pull to start my 140cc push mower. The housing has a poorly molded spindle on which the starter components pivot to engage the flywheel. The metal clip (visible from the underside of the assembly) that holds all the components onto the spindle does not fit securely into its groove on the spindle. Everything came loose when the starter was pulled and fell into the flywheel as the engine came to life almost destroying completely what I had just purchased. I was forced to cannibalize the housing from the old recoil assembly (original Briggs and Stratton) that I should have simply been able to replace, and I added the components from the new assembly I had just gotten. STENS IS AN INFERIOR PRODUCT. Save the trouble and pay for a genuine Briggs and ...
