Not good as a retrofit
I bought this antenna to replace the same manufacturer's antenna that's one step down in features. From a product design standpoint there was no reason to redesign the base causing new holes to be drilled in the roof of the RV. They should use the same footprint as the other model. Big step up from the batwing!
This is the second one of these units that I have installed, and I think it is going to work just great! This replaced an old and difficult to use factory installed Winegard batwing that kept catching on the AC shroud. I did have to mount a level plywood plate on the roof to keep it level but it now works excellently. I especially like the signal scanner that picks up the best signal before scanning for channels.
