Just like the RollerCoaster Tycoon games before this one, you spend your time building roller coasters and other rides, concession stands, managing staff, and managing your finances. The controls have been improved, and this sequel adds a lot of new features as well. You can now buy animals, and set up viewing areas, you can set up live performances, and even your own custom fireworks displays! The set-up does take a little while to get used to, and the tutorials are just annoying. It takes longer to load each very short tutorial than it does to complete it, and there are MANY to complete. (I recommend just learning the basic controls, then jumping in. You can always go back to learn something you cant figure out later.) You will spend some time before every game at the loading screen, but once it loads, it runs smoothly (depending on your system, always review the basic requirements before purchasing). Overall. Great game. Worth buying. (Especially at eBay prices =D)Read full review
My son really enjoys this game and I am glad to have him playing it as it is good clean(ish) fun and requires more strategy than just shooting things. It can be played on many levels - build things and watch them work or try to run a profitable business. The only problem we hit, and it was a major one, was that we bought this game as the basic game on one CD and the Soaked and Wild expansion packs on separate CDs. When we installed the expansion packs and / or an updater from the Atari website, the game would no longer start, repeatedly saying that it wanted us to put the CD in the drive (which it already was) and then saying it was the wrong CD. Presumably this problem would not be there if you bought the Platinum product which has everything pre-installed. I have reported our problem to Atari (whose phone number is disconnected) and to Big Island Publishing yesterday but have not a had a reply yet. Even so, the basic game is brilliant and there are many many hours of play left in it before the lack of expansion packs becomes a major issue.Read full review
Roller Coaster Tycoon (AKA: RCT) does it again... with keeping what was liked from previous RCT games and then adding more variety, rides, scenarios, thrills, challenges and fun... and making other rides, features, etc, better. this game just keeps up the roller coaster tycoon tradition of more, more more... only in a good way. more scenarios, more rides, more new additions that were never in the previous games. improvements and additions on what was already there, and much, much more. and of course the bettering of some features of previous games was nice to.... such as "assigning staff" now instead of being able to assign only by 3X3 square areas at one time, like previous RCT games... one can now assigns staff a single square at a time.. it may seem like a lot of work, but it's not and the benefit is being able to make your staff patrol ONLY the area you want them to. another addition is the standard ramp for foot paths (sidewalks) there is the small incline (to build above your park as always)and now there a steeper hill for paths as well for you to use, so one can get more height on their paths (to go over & under other rides/paths) without taking up as much space in your park. i have only played RCT3 briefly, so far (half dozen hours or so) and i feel i've barely scratch the service of all the wonderful things to do. but i am very impressed with all the new features, rides, etc. and the improvements on old features, designs, etc. that i've seen thus far. i can't wait to play more and the updated 3D graphics are really nice. (previous RCT games have 2D graphics) which are nice. but the 3D graphics are a nice improvement. for those who see pictures of the new 3D graphics... my first thought was "they look horrible" and to be honest, the promo pics, screen shots, etc. don't do the graphics justice.. they look great on my PC. so, do not go by the pictures of the game, imo. BOTTOM LINE: roller coaster tycoon always delivers with fun, excitement, challenges and fun for the whole family from young to old.Read full review
This game was great, by far the best rollercoaster tycoon game ever. Including the expansion packs Wild, and Soaked. Great graphics, and great gameplay maake this the best rollercoaster game EVER! Ok so let me tell you why I believe that. The first thing you must notice when you play this game is all the new features. ITS 3D! plus you get to ride your rides. Yeah those crazy rides you make, that you know will never be made in real life so you make it! Also some new features is that you can interact with the guests, and also invite some celebs. RCT3 also has a great music feature where you can make your add your own music to YOUR rides. Also the awesomely designed fireworks display creats a nice effect at closing time. Do you remember the old roller coaster games where you said "Oh it would be so cool if this game had a night time." Say no more, RCT3 Has it!!! Of course every game has its flaws, so here they are. The only problem with the game is that it isn't so easy to organize your park, HEY who said it would be easy!?!? Anyways go get the game ITS GREAT!Read full review

Have fun with your new game.
I have always been a fan of the Tycoon games series, but this one takes the cake! From the start, the massive amount of construction, management, and personalizing opinions are so vast that it can actually become a bit intimidating for those that haven't played a roller coaster tycoon game before. But overall, it stayed true to the roots of the game, still retaining basic elements used in the original roller coaster tycoon game. With the addition of the revolutionary Coaster Cam, water park builder (Soaked expansion) and zoo builder (Wild expansion), as well as several other little touches, this game has become a dream for any fan of the Tycoon series. ATI, Atari, and Frontier games has a masterpiece on thier hands...
Very wonderful awesome rare find and games i been looking for a very long time and missed so much! Thank you very much for selling both games at a good price with cases and all!

I've only just started playing, but I am in love with it. I liked the previous two, but well, SO glad they added a first person view to the rides. When I build something crazy, I want to see it like they do. I also like that some of the people are more inclined to go on crazier rides, instead of everyone being all 'this looks too intense for me'. I also like that when you click on people, they say 'Is someone watching me?' It's just got some humorous points which are appreciated. If you liked the other two, you'll love this one too. Graphics are a bit more enhanced, but not overly so. It's just good fun. Besides, if you have the wild animal park, you can let them out and terrify the guests!
best game i have ever bought literally play it everyday for hours on end
