Just as good the original version!
In early 2001, Turner Entertainment and Turner Classic Movies put together a brand new special edition of the documentary entitled 'Elvis: That's The Way It Is'. After seeing this film for the first time, I decided that this version is just as good as the original release from 1970. This time, it focuses more on Elvis and his group in rehearsals and live performances. There are several musical moments included that give more emphasis as to exactly how they worked it all out and made it succeed. Once again, the live performances are the stand-out of the entire film. While many people never had the opportunity to witness Elvis live on stage in Las Vegas in the summer of 1970, this presentation gives the viewer an up-close and personal look at that occasion.
