    Pleasant surprise

    Not a huge fan of third party glass but saw a few youtube vids that raved about this lens. My plan was to slowly add Sony prime lenses to the collection but after this one I suspect Sigma will probably outnumber them. Responsive focus, great color rendition and feels, despite a lot of plastic, quite solid in the hands. Not too happy about the price of new models but am more than satisfied with used. If you don't have a E mount thirty yet you should track this one down.

    Awesome lens. Awesome price. Just Awesome!

    I am using this lens with the Sony A6300. The auto focus on the Sony works well with this lens. The manual focus also is good but most people complain about the focus ring with is totally smooth aluminum. That can be fixed. I looked at and tried several other lenses in this range. Zeiss, Canon, Nikon and all the others. I found that this lens has the best cost per performance. The images are very sharp. The color is as good as the higher priced lens....soemtimes better. For the price, you cannot find a lens that performs as well as the Sigma 30. I also own the 19 and the 60. I also plan on getting the Sigma 30 1.4 because I am so impressed with the Sigma lens line.

    The best price/quality prime lens for Sony NEX system

    This must be just about the best prime lens you can buy for Sony NEX and m43 systems. It's not only a great lens for the price (which is CHEAP), it's a great lens by any measure. It is a lot sharper and has far less distortion than similar offerings from Sony. Not to mention the build quality is simply beautiful. If you plan to buy only one prime lens to supplement the kit lens that came with your camera, then this is the one. If you plan to buy 2, then this and Sigma 19mm

    Awesome, punchy color and SHARP!!!

    LOVE THIS LENS!! big upgrade over kit lens which is at f4.0 at 30mm, not a low light monster but 2 stops brighter at f2.8 (vs f4.0 of kit lens) very sharp, fantastic colors, nice and punchy, very compact and very decent focus speed, nothing like native lens but very good speed

    You can't go wrong with this lens!

    I Purchased this lens for my Sony A6000. I wanted to buy a lens that was good with low light situations and that would allow me to get a little closer to my subject. The F2.8 aperture does really well in low light and even better when I mount the camera on my tripod for long exposure shots. Image quality is very nice. I really don't have anything to complain about. Built quality is also pretty impressive. This lens fits perfectly with my Sony A6000.
