Toxik-World Circus
Toxik was one of those bands that didnt stand out in the 80's. When they released World Circus back in 1987, there was alot of bands that were trying their hand at thrash with a high pitched voice ala Flotsam and Jetsam. Most bands sounded alot alike, and thats what this album suffers from. But, it doesnt matter because it was done with alot of talent, and heart. When Think This was released in 1989 is when they broke out of that Realm, sounding very original and untouchable. But that doesnt mean this album is a bargin bin band in any way, because its quite the opposite. Its fast with the highest pitched vocals ive ever heard. And the solos on this album shred! Toxik - World Circus
This is a not so well known speed metal gem originally released on Roadracer Records.They have a Helloween sound in vocals with a very technical speed metal style.Well crafted songs and a great classic speed metal feel.Their second release "Think This" was a little more conceptual and leaned more to a Voivod sound.I still think this is their best,definately recommended if you are into the classic speed metal style.This is a not so well known speed metal gem originally released on Roadracer Records.They have a Helloween sound in vocals with a very technical speed metal style.Well crafted songs and a great classic speed metal feel.Their second release "Think This" was a little more conceptual and leaned more to a Voivod sound.I still think this is their best,definately recommended if you are into the classic speed metal style.
