The street beats of New York City and Puerto Rico meet in this film from Alejandro Chomski (TODAY AND TOMORROW). Born and bred in New York City, Rob (Omarion Grandberry) dreams of making it as a rapper. When he becomes a wanted man in his neighborhood, Rob's loving mother (Kellita Smith) sends him to Puerto Rico to stay with a father he never knew existed (Giancarlo Esposito). In an instant, Rob not only acquires a father, but a stepmother (Rosa Arredondo) and a stepbrother (Victor Rasuk), Javi, who also has dreams of making it big in the music world. Together, Rob and Javi are determined to put their imprint on the widely popular world of reggaeton, a musical genre combining reggae, rap, salsa, and bomba. With the help of Rob's love interest, beautiful dancer C.C. (Zulay Henao), the duo just might hit the big time.Jennifer Lopez is one of the producers of this ode to Puerto Rico and its culture, which showcases reggaeton and hot dance moves. Grandberry shows the softer side of Rob, who has good intentions at heart even though trouble seems to follow him everywhere. But Rasuk is the scene-stealer as Javi, Rob's guide to all things Puerto Rican and reggaeton, and a talented musician in his own right. James McCaffrey appears as a big-time record executive who has more on his mind than music, and Melonie Diaz plays C.C.'s friend, MiMi.

    Feel The Noise - The noise was actually the movie

    I thought the beats in the movie were excellent. I thought Omarion role in this movie was kind of weak, and the plot or lack of a plot was kind of aimless. I can see why it did not last long in the theaters. This movie is not even in the class of his role in "You got served". I bought this movie since I don't go to theaters much. Wish I wouldn't have though. The cover art is also deceptive, the role of him dancing with the "hottie" was only an instant. As usual only the scenes which were provactive were used for the trailer. I do like the fact that Omarions character was reunited with a father he did not know previously and it ended well.

    Feel The Noise

    The movie was not as good as I thought it would be. Omarion's character was not as I'm used to seeing him act in any role. It was not strong at all. The music was nice, but no real dancing or serious music, just beats....I can watch any music video and get more out of it than this one. But I must say, Omarion's co-producer debut in the film was commendable. He needs to step up his game if he wants to last in the business!

    fun to the point enjoyable sutable for all teh family

    the dvd was great once we were able to watch it we had to take it to a independent media shop to have the dvd unlocked as it wouldnt work on a standered dvd player or even on a blue ray dvd player but once unlocked we enjoyed it emensly was really enjoyable had some members of the family up and dancing along and singing along to the tracks
