About this product

Product Information

Rockstar Games, the industry's lightning rod for controversy, continues its reputation for edgy, unusual material in Bully: Scholarship Edition for PC, an enhanced version of the PlayStation 2 game with eight new missions, four additional classes, two-player mini-games, and unlockable items. Starring a juvenile delinquent in a reform school for troubled teens, Bully has players attending classes, socializing with other students, and exploring the grounds before curfew. Fifteen-year-old Jimmy Hopkins reluctantly attends the strict Bullworth Academy for a year, during which he'll develop skills, befriend peers, romance girls, and make a name for himself as either a hero or a miscreant.

The world in Bully in many ways adheres to a structured schedule, with students attending two periods of classes and engaging in other daily routines. Yet there is also a degree of freedom in how players go about their daily tasks. They can elect to skip classes and cause mischief, at the risk of being sent to the principal's office for reprimanding. There are also missions to undertake on behalf of the five main cliques populating the school: jocks, nerds, greasers, preps, and bullies. Hopkins can interact with each character positively or negatively, through carefully worded dialogue or via pranks such as shoving students in lockers or pouring itching powder on garments.

Activities Hopkins will engage in include zipping across campus on a skateboard; pedaling through town on "borrowed" bikes; playing video games in his dorm room; signing up for dodgeball, boxing, or wrestling in the gym; and even snapping photos for a yearbook. Mission types range from straightforward errands to more elaborate stealth and slingshot shooting segments. While there are no guns in the game, weapons such as baseball bats, garbage can lids, and similar items can be found within the environment. Hand-to-hand combat options include combos, disarm moves, and "humiliation" attacks, with a control system that relies more on timing than on learning complicated commands.

  • Bully for PC, it's clearly a port.

Bully follows a story about a wayward kid who has just been dropped off by his mom to a new elite private school. The game progresses in simulated real time, with your character going to class (or skipping) and passing (or failing) them to gain new abilities. This game plays with many role playing game features, such as not having to do certain quests. The game is on the upper side of a teen rating so parents be warned you may want to screen the game first. All in all a pretty neat game, fairly nice visuals, sound, and voice overs. *Problem* This is a port..... this leads to alot of problems not seen on the PS2 version. Controling your character with the mouse and keyboard is not nearly as fluid as it should be, your character doesn't seem to want to change in a new direction while ...

  • Terrific! It has totally met my expectations!

First of all, I bought this PC Game, because its selling wasn't allowed in my country (Brazil). I could have downloaded it (illegal ways, lol), but I preferred to buy it as my first purchase at eBay.com. It was much easier than I thought buying at the website. The only bad point about buying abroad (at eBay.com) was the long time it took the product to be delivered, on the other hand, the best one was the price, because I would pay 3 times more expensive here in Brazil, because of the taxes. The product has really met my expectations and I totally recommend the game for anyone who wants to have hours of fun.

  • Could not use it

I liked it because i have bully on ps2 and wanted the second one but could not use it. I was sad because I really wanted play the game. I finished the first one and wanted to challenge myself more.
