In this sci-fi anime series, humanity has long since abandoned Earth, and the crew of the spaceship Woglinde is under attack by the Gnosis, a dangerous enemy from another dimension who are determined to take control of a mysterious monolith known as the Zohar. The humans have an anti-Gnosis weapon, known as KOS-MOS, who is as powerful as she is beautiful--but when she takes charge of her own directives, she becomes impossible to control.

    One of the most intriging animes to date

    This anime is similar but not the same to the game Xenosaga Episode 1. But the story has been changed for the better. The diologue and voice acting are great for almost every character, especially the main ones. Luci Christian voices KOS-MOS and the VA for Edward Elric of FMA is Wilhelm, one of the most intriguing characters of Xenosaga, the other voices follow in suit. Thhe animation is not up to par with, say Elfen Lied or soem of the higher end animes, but it is still very good. The fight scenes hold a heavy impact without being gory, and the 3D animation blends seamlessly with the regular 2D. I hated this in Japanese but the English dub made me absolutely love it. I found myself quoting the game at points! Definately worth it, jsut make sure it's not a bootleg, THEY DON'T COME WITH ...

    Great video game adaption. A "must-have" for Xenosaga fans!

    I bought these DVD's after playing the video games. I loved the game and from other people I knew that the DVD's are like an adapted version of the game's story plot. They were absolutly right. It contains the story with some slightly changed scenes (to make it interesting). I like it very much, because now I can watch the story over and over again. The series comes with two audio options. English and Japanese with english subtitles. Something that I think is important: You must like science fiction as well as dramatic storys (they do exagerate a little, its from Japan so don't be surprised to see shortly dressed girls for an example). The animation is different from the game, so some persons look a little different from the original. Doesn't bother me but don't expect video game graphic ...
