TIE Fighter starpilot, the chronicles of Maareek Stele
More than a manual for the game, which I had the opportunity of playing, I bought this one because of the short story of Maareek Stele a young Imperial TIE fighter pilot. We usually hear about the story of the rebel alliance and how they win the war against the evil empire, but we don't get to see the life of the other side's version of the story. This is not just a guide for the game, but it is also a good short story describing how this character, Maareek Stele got to join the Imperial armada. How he was rescued by a star destroyer, named the Vengeance, and how he starts climbing up in rank as he accidentally enters the cockpit of a TIE fighter. The game itself its for an obsolete system, but I have to admit that the writers did a superb job describing each one of the starfighters of the ... This guide completes the story of Maareek Stele chronicles, any old gamer will know what am I talking about. I just wanted to see how the story of this young pilot ended,and I was not disappointed. The story is full of intrigue, and suspense. It shows you that being a pilot inside a star destroyer is very risky, and the pilots are well aware that the next battle could be their last one. This story describes some of the main star wars characters, such as Darth Vader from the perspective of practically unknown characters such as Maareek Stele, which have been practically replaced by newer characters from other stories in the star wars universe. If you like star fighter stories, stories that transport you into dangerous missions in the vacuum of space, then this story is for you. But again, this book combines the story of the main character with the game-play of the main story of the video game. Back in the day they did not had the technology to integrate everything together, so they placed everything in this book. It is a thick book, 404 pages long, and I have to say, this book was made with care for the video game, the storyline, and the characters in it. I did enjoyed it.

Back in 1994, group of programming engineers and Gamers alike came out with Star Wars simulator space stuff of the trilogy. People have wondered what would have been like to fly an X-Wing or TIE fighter. In the early years of 1990 through 1995, Electronic Arts and LucasArts created those simulations are the background stories to make the games more interesting. This book was purchased be a companion piece 2 the video game I still have. In 94, it was common to have cartridges as game discs to where you plug many of them into your computer to play the game. It was only a few years later that CDs came out that made the game playing a lot easier. I still have the CDs for the simulations however since computers have gotten more advanced, I'm afraid it's rather difficult to play those games ... What has to go through scrap boxes to find the right programming in order to play the outdated games with the outdated software. What I do remember of TIE fighter is if 1 is using a certain control all the time oh, he will win the game eventually but losing points a great deal. One more thing. In the last scenario we are trying to protect the emperor, protect the emperor at all cost to end the game successfully. Otherwise deal with Lord Vader and this is one TIE fighter nobody can beat.
