    Wonderful Help to Have Two

    I make various healthy foods for myself and many times keep my soups and such stored in the blender pitcher for a day. The second pitcher was to be used as an extra, but now I am the primary care person for a family member undergoing chemotherapy. So I can keep their high calories foods (shakes made with whipping cream and coconut milks) separate; so throughout the day they can pour small amounts and sip to keep the dramatic weight loss at bay. It was a well timed and GREAT purchase for me.

    Inefficient, not worth the $

    Now that I have used this VitaMix several times, it is the same as any other blender. I am extremely sorry that I spent a lot of money on it. It takes me 45 minutes to make a smoothie if I have frozen fruit in it. I have to open many times, push fruit down, and often some of it never gets chopped or blended at all. I have since heard that the new VitaMix products are not as good as the older ones. My experience supports that rumor.
