I am so impressed with this seller, although the item did not meet my requirements the seller was true to his word and accepted a return, the seller also paid all postage both ways which I was impressed with. The item was as advertised and in perfect condition, packaging was impressive as well. The communication was superb and was much appreciated by me. I would have no hesitation in recommending this seller.

Item received as described in good & careful packing by the seller from Japan and the bought CD player is operating normally well. The seller was a very thoughful & caring one who displayed in video in advance illustrated to me on how the CD disc should be placed in an up side down direction for any functional playing that even before he dispatched the product for shipping. I will definitely buy again with this seller in future

  • True-to-life recording.

The most valuable advantage of the Yamaha 1500 CD-R with HDD is its "natural sound" direct recording from CD, tuner, gramophone, cassette without any alteration to the original source information.

  • Unique CD-R/Hard Disc recorder

This, and is it's predecessor the CDRHD1300, are the only products that I have ever seen that combine a CD-R recorder with an internal hard drive, it is still supplied new by Yamaha in markets other than the UK, e. g. Germany. Whilst it is possible to perform the recording and CD copying functions of this machine with a computer, I generally find that there are losses in sound quality due to the compromises involved in connecting a computer to a high quality audio system. Furthermore this machine does not compress the audio signals in any way which also minimises any loss of sound quality. I use it for recording from vinyl and radio, editing is easy and intuitive and the results played back on CD players of much higher quality than the Yamaha itself are top class. Playing directly from ...

  • Want it,see it, buy it, you will not be dissapointed

I entirely agree on the comments provided by the previous reveiw, the only points i would add as i have owned a 1300 and curently a 1500 is on both the lack of a rec balance control, the other point to remember is biggest drive size for the 1500 is 400gb the 1300 138gb, these are the units design limits, even if you use a bigger drive in say the 1300 max time is still 138 = 212.5 hrs @ 1.55 gb per hour regardless so bear this in mind. But at any price both these really are Unique!!

  • Super Hard Disk Recorder

This is well thought out recorder in every sense but regrettably you can't record from any external source to CD. Recording can only be made to the hard disk after which it only allows you to transfer from the hard disk to CD. This makes me so dissatisfied for the high price tag of this product, new or used. I think this is one big demerit of the product but full marks in all other areas of what is expected of an outstanding recorder
