Himalayan crystal salt has matured over the past 250 million years (geologists estimate it could be 800 million years old) under intense tectonic pressure in an environment that's free of toxins and impurities. Even better, this form of salt contains about 80 natural minerals and elements used by the human body. So this product by today's standards would be have expired millions of years ago! LOL Its sacred healing power is left untouched as the crystalline pink salt from the mine reaches the hands of consumers unprocessed and unrefined. Table salt, or straight sodium chloride, is the most commonly consumed salt. It is mostly mass produced and undergoes several processes that strip the salt crystals of natural minerals, while adding “supplements” like iodine. Typical table salts also ... I cleaned out my cupboards and this is the only salt I use other than white sea salt and kosher salt. Iodine salt is bad for your health. This himalayan salt contains vital minerals and nutrients. Great for those with High Blood pressure or ppl who just want to change their diet for the healthier. I even make my own Seasoning salt with this and have thrown out all my store bought seasoning salt. This box last a really long time. A small bottle of pink salt in the grocery store will run you abt $6-8 .
