I love it!
I'm not sure why I've read a few negative reviews on this imported 3d box set. I bought this version because I COULD NOT find it here in the States. The only 3d versions here were the theatrical cuts (which did not come in a box set) and the extended 2D box set (which was said to have the same type of packaging at my Lord of the rings extended Blu ray set). I honestly expected this to be in some flimsy paper case with some poorly put together packing based on some reviews I saw, but I was quite pleased. This is exactly like my golden LOTR box set. The box is Beautifully put together with the magnetic flap that comes down, revealing the map of middle earth. The only thing I could think of that was a little annoying was that the box is much fatter (as are the cases that the movies come in) ... The copy I got was perfect. I've read that other people are having a problem with a disc or two but I had no problems at all. Used them with my Samsung TV (battery glasses) and my Samsung DVD player. 3D was very good. (didn't watch the other format) I've seen bad ratings for the movie but I'm only rating the product itself here, not the movie (though I really like it :) Haven't tried to get the digital copy though. I know I have to redirect my internet through a program to get it and probably won't bother. The price on this is good enough that I can do without it. I would recommend this to a friend, or even an enemy if he likes The Hobbit....The copy I got was perfect. If you liked the LOTR trilogy then you'll like theses
I only gave this a 4 star review because I dont care for the packaging of this set. I have the blu-ray extended edition LOTR trilogy boxset also and the packaging is much nicer. It might be because I think these ones were not specifically zoned for the US Im not sure. But they are in new condition and work so Im stil happy with this purchase
