The Vintage Collection
It doesn't matter whether you are a new Star Wars fan or an old one. There is one thing you cannot deny, these are the next big thing! The original Star Wars figures are well beyond most mortals budgets. At near $100,000 to get them all, its overwhelming. Enter the 2010-2012 Vintage Carded run. The figures are vastly superior in both detail and articulation, but the cards are virtually identical. Now add in the fact that there are over 110 of these puppies and you have an amazing collectible. Over half of them can still be obtained for $10.00 to $15.00. What a steal! There are also some rare pieces in the set that can command over $100.00. When you weigh all of those factors these are the next BIG collectible.It doesn't matter whether you are a new Star Wars fan or an old one. The 1979 Boba Fett Action figure is one of the most coveted pieces of Star Wars paraphilia for many people and I can explain why in one word: Nostalgia. This is the reason many people will buy this figure, other than collectors of course. This feeling, this call to your childhood will be felt when you hold the figure in your hands the first time. The craftsmanship is generally great, the weight of the figure is perfect and the colors are subdued and vibrant paradoxically. The single thing I can praise is the design and build of this figure, which is almost all of the appeal. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there is a definite lack of detail with the figure. We've become used to miniscule parts and fragile components over the years and this figure just doesn't have that. It is ... Collectors will love the authentic, vintage appeal too, just bear in mind that most figures do not have a working missile launcher.
