Realistic Metalic effect from a paint
Alclad is the closest thing to looking like metal you can get with a paint. It needs to be airbrushed though, no brush painting with this paint. Try to avoid masking Alclad, it has a tendency for the tape to lift the paint, that is a drawback and applying a varnish will tone down the metallic effect. Make sure, if you have to mask over it, that you tone down the tackiness of the tape by placing it on you clothes or skin several times. However, if you want a realistic metallic effect on your subject, this is the best paint I have found.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I am very impressed! Alclad Chrome over gloss black lacquer! Use as recommended on various you tube channels, and you will have a very surprisingly reflective polished aluminum look on your aircraft model. You can then use methods to tone down reflectivity if desired. I did not clear coat.
