    Good, but.....

    The pros: gears are more quiet and run smoother, toe-in options, aluminum motor plate to keep your motor running cooler. The cons: the spur gear cover doesn't fit tight up against the aluminum motor plate, it leaves a gap for dirt to get into, holes in aluminum motor plate didn't line up with my motor, had to file some of the plate and I could only use one of the two screws for the bumper mount because the other one didn't line up, also I wish they would have toe-in options of maybe 1 and three degree and not zero and 3 degree.

    They’re ok, but have some flaws

    Better than stock for sure, and the bumper mounts are good. However they do still flex with big power motors leading to lunched gears. That, coupled with the fact that the factory style spur covers need filing to fit and only one screw can be used for attachment kind of stinks. Their own RPM cover doesn’t even fit well! I’d still recommend them for lower power brushed setups, but that’s about it.

    RPM Hybrid Gearbox Housing

    This has many good features over the stock gearbox the suspension mounts are separate from the housing and are adjustable for each model that is a big plus The quality of material used is superior and more durable then stock it holds the gears firmly and without the flex of stock gearboxes the only thing that would make it better is a motor plate that has a ridge on it to better seal the gear cover instead of a flat plate that is the only area where the stock gearbox is better all in all a very recommended product

    RPM Gearbox

    So far after a couple times at the track the transmission housing gets the job done. I've only run it a couple times at the track. Only issue was the left lower bumper mount screw likes to back out. I CA glued it and it seems to be holding so far. It it happens again, I'll drill through the case, add a longer screw and lock nut it on the other side. The aluminum more plate does little with motor cooling but the motor mount screws hold better without sinking in like with the stock Trans case.

    This is a good upgrade if you’re using stock gears. I used a hot racing diff, idler gear, and a traxxas 9494 input shaft and had issues with closing the gearbox and also could hear gears stripping in reverse and when braking. Only get this for the stock gears. I will be going back to the stock housing for now.
