    Xmas Eve @ Fri. Harbor (2010 Hardcover)

    The book was a great Holiday read. I enjoyed the story immensely--you felt sympathy for little Holly losing her Mom to a car addident, but the story develops quite pleasantly in her Uncle Mark, her legal guardian, and also her Uncle Sam, both bachelors, taking the reins to take her in and create a family for her. Being responsible for Holly and actually becoming her "parents" brings out exceptional qualities in both Mark and Sam that they never knew they had in them. The magic that caring for this little girl brings about and how it touches so many lives is heartwarming. The story is both humorous and sad and best of all has a happy ending. It was an easy read, which left you smiling and with a warm Holiday feeling in your heart. It was a "feel good" kind of story. I recommend it ...

    Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor is heartwarming.

    I purchased this because I'd seen the movie and enjoyed it. While a bit different, the book is excellent and captivating. It is difficult to put down.

    Appropriate name for the book

    First, I love the author! She is a creative, descriptive person. I can actually feel the emotions in her writings. Kleypas knows how to add the right amount of humor in the right areas of the story. Just wished the story was a bit longer. Why did I buy it? I have read all of her books and with the Christmas season upon us, this seemed like a fitting book to read. I just had to have it. Loved it.
