About this product

Product Information

Based on Midway's 1995 arcade game, WWF WrestleMania features a lineup of eight digitized wrestlers and a fighting system patterned after Mortal Kombat. Featured WWF stars include Bam Bam Bigelow, Doink the Clown, Yokozuna, Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels, and the Undertaker. Basic moves include two types of punches, two types of kicks, and a block. To perform such maneuvers as hip tosses, rope throws, and turnbuckle leaps, players must tap multiple buttons or directions. More elaborate techniques, such as over-the-top attacks like the "tombstone slam" and "shocking hand buzzer," are character specific. With each successful strike, a combo meter will gradually fill and unlock the ability to perform "super combos." Compete against a series of computer opponents to win the Intercontinental or WWF titles. Challenge a friend to a head-to-head battle or team up against the computer in multiple two-on-two matches.

Seller sent me an offer, I accepted, I paid, They marked it as shipped, it never arrived. I had to get a refund through ebay. Sad. I live right around the corner from this seller and was looking forward to doing a lot of business with them. Pretty sure they sent the same offer to multiple people and took everyone's money.

    Classic

WrestleMania: The Arcade Game at the time was seen as a pretty cool concept. WWF needed a fun and fast paced game to get them noticed on all the current gen systems at the time. (SNES, Genesis, Saturn, PS1) This game had an entire 30 min strategy guide video that came with the SNES version when you ordered it directly from WWF at the time when they did the over the phone sales where you had to call them. It was quite compelling trying to figure out all the combinations and converting them to your system of choice. Over the top, small roster, and funny antics were what made this game fun.

  • A Fun Wrestling Arcade Game

I previously owned the Super Nintendo version of this game that I had since it first came out. I liked playing it a lot especially for it's arcade style, awesome moves and frantic combos. I recently decided to purchase the PlayStation version because I've always wanted to try out the PS/Saturn exclusive characters Yokozuna and Bam Bam Bigelow. This version is much much better obviously. Quick loading times, more sound effects, authentic wrestler entrance themes and more. Probably the feature I enjoy the most is the way you can have 4 wrestlers on screen at the same time in this version. The only drawbacks to the game is that the gameplay can be very cheap. You might end up winning some matches only by luck. And when you play two player co-op, you share the same life meter. It can get kind ...

  • Rave Rave Rave

The only bad thing I can say about this game is there aren't enough options, not enough wrestlers and Bret Hart seems to be the toughest one who gets moves off easier than anything which is lame since Undertaker and Shawn Michaels are better than him. The Good? I love this game so much. The fact that with the roll of the keypad and pressing a button Undertaker will slide forward and grab his opponent and choke slam, choke punch and I think choke tombstone. Even the low spectrum wrestler Doink has interesting and fun moves. I especially love when you can grab your opponents legs using Razor Ramone and pick them up and slam them. If you hold the one button and keep pressing the other you can slam them up to 4 times. The commentary is exciting and makes you feel like old school WWF when ...

  • Wrestlemania Review: by Z

What I love about the game is its simply a classic. Not only does it look and feel just like the original (SNES), But it plays more smooth with a greater velocity. The only thing I dislike about it is the long load time when you play with 2P Wrestlemania when all the opponents come in one after another. Wouldve been better if they had more wrestlers too.(granted they did add two more the the SNES version (which I'm greatful for). I decided to buy the game because i feel it has a great replay value especially when friends come over. (for me not even being a 'big' wrestling fan, the game certainly caught my attention) ~Z~ -the messenger-
