Fantastic little device. Lots of great tones and a treasure trove of extra tones to be found and easily downloaded on the website. Very easy and intuitive to use. As a Johnny Winter fan I downloaded his tone on the website and it's spot on from the Still Alive and Well period. Amazing. No matter what you're looking for tone wise you're bound to find it. I personally like to plug it directly into a pair of stereo monitors and it sounds great--very high fidelity! Of course you can plug it directly into a board, PA, or your favorite amp. Simply amazing!
When I first heard the pocket pod being used I was amazed at the sound. The 'effects', the 'delay', and the tone were simply amazing. I am involved in southern to country style Gospel music and mostly use verb, delay, and I selected the British classic sounds. There are a couple bits of advice I would give: 1. Do not turn the CHAN VOL to loud (produces some noise). Find that happy medium. 2. Get a power supply and don't depend solely on the batteries (especially live performance). The best portable headphone amp
I have been playing for a few years now and I got to tell you, this has to be in my opinion the best bang for the money. The tones you can get out of this are incredible. I have tried the Vox and a few other aftermarket headphone amps and was never satisfied with the tones I got. This little power house does it all. I love the fact you can go on line 6's website and download other users custom tones. Very easy to navigate through this little unit. Go out and buy one. Excellent Effects, Good Sound, Awkward Controls
Nice product; Excellent effects; nice clean sound, overdrive is a bit week. Dialing in sounds takes a bit of effort, but once they are saved, it's very easy to use. Location of the 1/4"jack is awkward and the unit does not stand/sit very well. It's a bit unstable, so ends up requiring 2 hands to use. All you really need for headphone practicing.
Great bank of sounds and tones. Very edit-able using the Line 6 interface and connecting the unit to your laptop or computer. TIP: if you are going to use the pocket pod in front of an amplifier, you'll want to create a separate bank of usable settings for that specific application (real amplifier) because the preset sounds are very different when coming out of an actual amp. So play around with the settings while the unit is going into an amp to dial it in.
