Intermountain HO scale 36" semi scale wheel sets
These metal wheel sets are great and I highly recommend them to any modeler who wants to change out one's plastic wheel sets. Metal wheels do not attract dirt and grime as do statically charged plastic ones. Also they roll more freely than do plastic ones. Of course they are more durable than plastic. One side of the axle has an insulator so if you put the insulated sides one way on one pair of trucks then you must put the insulated wheel on the opposite sides of the next pair of trucks. I got these to go on my Riverossi passenger cars so I can light them up. I'll have to get some bronze/phosphor wire from Kadee to use as wipers for the axles. I plan to use LED lighting for the cars with a full wave bridge rectifier and a 3300uF capacitor for flicker free lighting. I do not use ...
