Seller Notes: “All 3 volumes are in very good, clean condition with only occasional spotting, although Volume III ... “All 3 volumes are in very good, clean condition with only occasional spotting, although Volume III does have overall toning of contents and more spotting. Some page corners are a little dog-earred and/or improperly trimmed at the time of binding. A library bookplate is mounted on the inside front cover of each volume, the library's blindstamp appears near the bottom of all 3 title pages, there is a like pink rubber stamp to the rear pastedown of the second volume, and an ink notation on the rear pastedown endpaper of the third volume. The interior and exterior hinges of Volumes II & III have been strengthened with binder's cloth tape, without detracting terribly from the overall look of the set. The leather covers are worn, dried, cracked and in a few spots are insect chewed, and the outside corners and edges are bumped and worn. Despite these issues, all 3 bindings are quite stable and tight, and no signatures are loose or pulled. Overall, a Good Complete Set of the First Editions.”
