Seller Notes: “Bound in contemporary edge-worn and surface-rubbed polished, panelled calf leather, neatly rebacked ... “Bound in contemporary edge-worn and surface-rubbed polished, panelled calf leather, neatly rebacked with original spine label laid down. Endpapers are soiled and have pencil notations on them, along with an engraved armorial bookplate of Edward Howes mounted on the inside cover. The contents are moderately foxed throughout, but the paper is still quite supple. There is insect and possibly a paper defect to p. [xi], which has ragged paper loss along the blank left margin measuring roughly 1" x 2" but with no textual loss, two corners are torn off of columns 579 & 581 with no loss of text plus there is some other insignificant marginal worming. Overall, a Good copy.”
