    This sharpener is larger than I initially thought. Now, my wife wants me to sharpen all her old knifes. She has a CUTCO knife set that is almost indestructible and probably the best knife set you can buy. It is nice though to have sharp knifes, that can be used outside the kitchen and resharpen when abused. Sharp knifes are great for cutting and laying lawn turf... just saying. I believe this was a fine purchase.

      It worked perfectly on some old scissors...

      It worked perfectly on some old scissors in my shop. It honed my retired knives rather well. If you have a low end kitchen knife set, this would be perfect. But I wouldn't trust it on high-end cutlery or knives. But other than that, it's a good deal.

      Works OK, but it's a little under-powered so the motor tends to bog down You have to use a very light touch when drawing a knife through it against the grinding stones, so it and requires a lot of repeated repetitions at each grinding station to get decent sharpness.
