    Hate to admit it but not impresses

    These binoculars grabbed my attention because of the great high power and also a pretty good field of view, I don't know why but they are not crisp clear like other Nikon products I have. I have Nikon 10x power and also 12x power and both are much crisp/clearer than the 16x power. I was so excited to get these but I made a mistake when I sold my 15x58 Minox to buy the Nikon 16x56.

    I received the goods that I expected.

    I am very pleased with the purchase. The quality of the optics is good, so even with a very large magnification of 20 times the image becomes clear and natural, but focusing should be done every time because the magnification is very large. I put the binoculars on a tripod to prevent vibration. Thank you!

    Good image quality but too heavy

    Great powerful magnification, sharp image, wide and comfortable field of view, easy focusing. Low light performance is very good. It feels like the build quality is good, but time will tell. Eyepiece cups tend to loosen up, not sure if it is only my unit or a general issue. Chromatic aberration is noticeable under bright sunlight, but bearable. Usable without a tripod for short periods, but heavy and not comfortable to hold in hands for too long. The supplied tripod mount seems shaky and touching the binoculars while on the tripod produces much shake. Important: the minimal interpupillary distance of these binoculars is 60 mm and this is too large for some people. Check this before buying.
