Perhaps I broke it, but thought I could wiggle out the connector. My bad, but yeah flimsy if how gentle I was made it break after one use.

You get what you pay for. The USB cable was only 12" long so I had to buy one to reach my PC. That added $11 and a trip to the store. The product description was somewhat lacking.
