They replied three times only offering discounts and no return address. I was willing to pay return postage.

While a oem replacement battery cost over 100, I decided to try these china clones and for the price its hard to beat. I do cabinetry work and the trigger control is what I'm after. the old makita batteries can discharge very sensitively for a long time whereas these china clones work best if it is full throttle or off. It's good that these are available, affordable and functioning. Mine get about half the run time of a three year old genuine Makita battery. They put out enough current, but lack capacity.

Don't Bother
These red batteries haven't gotten any better since my last purchase. Don't hold a charge. Don't have much reserve capacity. That is why I've parked my Makitia drill and use 12v Lithium Milwaukie for small jobs and corded 110v for big jobs. Lithium technology has passed by these tools. What is needed is a Lithium replacement for these batteries.

These after-market replacement batteries for Makita cordless drills seem to be at least as good as the originals or perhaps an even better value since they are priced well, charge up quickly, have plenty of power and work for an extended work period. The only unknown is how long they will last; the original batteries lasted nearly five years with moderate use. Batteries seem to have gotten better (and less expensive) in the meantime ... a good sign for our future.These after-market replacement batteries for Makita cordless drills seem to be at least as good as the originals or perhaps an even better value since they are priced well, charge up quickly, have plenty of power and work for an extended work period.
