  • A goody.

I went to a two-year college for an associates degree in electronics and electrical power systems. And this book, while not required for the school, was recommended by the instructor. I got it and read it. Later I was employed in an electronics factory. And knowing what was in this book and from my previous education I was employed long enough to call that employment a carrier of sorts. The knowledge offered by this book, within the context of the sort of electronics testing and assembly, I was at a rough parity with most of the supervising engineers. I caught on to that about three months after I started. I also learned not to press that advantage too much as the said engineers would then feel threatened, as strange as that sounds. • Best reference for logic designers

This book is one of the best tutorial books on the ttl logic family. Its description of the functionality of each member is simple, straight forward and complete. design examples and design parametrics allow beginners and more advanced users to successfully execute designs using these products. I have used this manual and Don's later book for CMOS for many years. I keep giving them to others who have a need and find the book useful. This is probably my 5th or 6th copy. GOOD book!

  • Update an old copy

I am an "old school" electronics man. I am retired and don't do design work for pay any more. But I still "tinker" and on occasion need to find an esoteric circuit. My existing copy(third) was literally coming apart at the seams so I ordered a new copy for the shelf.
