      This was an entertaining story with interesting characters, plot twists, and wry humor. Many readers will be able to relate to the scenarios created (how to handle someone who's well-intentioned but overbearing; handling a teen who won't share information). What I found distracting to the story were the details of the main character's vegetarian preferences. It seemed meal choices/preparation descriptions were given frequently and with more explanation than necessary. I felt this might have more appropriate if the character had owned a restaurant or was a caterer. Because she was a minister's wife and amateur sleuth, I don't know why it should have been important whether she was vegetarian, on the South Beach Diet, Weight Watcher's, or ate whatever she wanted.
