The casting number ... “This is an original GM Big Block Chevy engine block with factory bolt main caps. The casting number is 3963512. The 3963512 block with 4 bolt mains was used exclusively on the following applications: 1969 L72 427/425HP(Yenko/COPO), 1969 L71 427/435HP, 1969 L88 427/430HP, 1970 LS6 454/450HP, and 1971 LS6 454/465HP engines. The casting date is H 25 9 which decodes as August 25th, 1969. This date makes this block correct for later in the 1969 model year as well as the 1970 model year. The pad stamp on this block was shaved off when it was rebuilt in the 70s. That said, there is a stamp on the starter mounting pad that reads, " T099" as shown. This is a very hard to find later 1969 dated 427/454 4 bolt main block. Don't miss this awesome factory high performance block. This block is in very good condition overall. There are no breaks or repairs to this block. See description for more info........”
