      what i needed

would have given 5 stars but the steel ring is thin and soft. so its easy to bend. i drilled more holes in mine so i could spread the load better and it came out nice. nice rubber boot. seems like its made tough.

    • I like the look and function of my new gear shift boot cover

I used the Rubber Shifter Boot for the Manual Shift Cover for my 1963 International...it looks great and shifts well. I will not be using a leather boot cover over mine. I like the look and flexibility of this one. I will use a little Armour All on it periodically. I would recommend this product for the vintage and authentic look of older vehicle/ truck.

    • Good quality, and works for different items depending on your needs

I bought 2 of these to use as boots for something other than a shifter. We V8-swapped a BMW E30 and originally planned to run manual brakes due to having no room for a brake booster, but I recently decided to custom-mount a foxbody Mustang's brake booster and master cylinder in the front of the engine bay facing backward. Anyways, the boot on the back of the booster (which is now facing the front) was old and torn up, so it needed a new boot to protect it from the environment. The shaft I made that goes through the firewall from the brake pedal to the booster also needed one on the firewall to cover the original booster hole and bolt holes. The mounting rings are heavier than I expected since I didn't have high hopes for it.
