      Missing some key moments

      I personally thought it was a great movie was I was a little disappointed that they left out some key moments in 'Earnhardt' history. I would have liked to see more of the rivalaries and I would have like to see them add a little bit more about Daytona Speedweek in 2001... its was probably his most active speedweek in his career and so much happened in that week it would have been nice to see that also. All in all it was well worth hour and a half of watching it and recommended it for all Nascar fans even if your not a Dale Sr. fan! Barry Pepper is an incredible actor and its one of his better roles!

      A good movie if you are an Earnhardt fan

      This movie in general is about Dale Earnhardt sr`s life from a kid to his tragic death at Daytona in 2001. The movie could have been a bit more personal, but overall a good movie. It`s a great way to know where Dale came from, and how he achieved the fame he did. The extramaterial is also good, with highlights from his career: first Road Course win at Sonoma etc. Also a few interviews. Dont watch this movie unless you`re a NASCAR fan (which I obviously am) cos you`re likely to be bored to death. But if you love NASCAR, watch it! It`s no Days of Thunder, but it`s still good.

      3 the Dale Earnhardt Movie - DVD

      My brother in law owned this movie previously but it was stolen when his house was burglarized. His search to locate another copy of his favorite movie was futile, so for Christmas, I researched on eBay and located a copy. The purchaser shipped immediately so I would have in time for the holiday. My brother-in-law was overjoyed to receive a replacement for his beloved movie. I have great memories of his reaction, he almost cried, and the happiness of my sister, who shared in his frustration of loosing the movie. It just goes to show that sometimes it's not the big items that we loose in life but the little things that we gain that bring us the most joy.
