    Amazingly cute. Will make you want to start sewing right away. A must have.

    My mother-in-law(Lisa)'s, mother had this book, and I had looked at it at with Lisa. I was looking for doll dress paterns for my little sister. It was perfect for what she was looking for. My sister loves older books, and is learning to sew. She loves making things. The animals and dolls in this book are wonderfully cute. We exspecially liked the "Little Woman" dolls, and the forest animals. She now owns a copy, and I will be getting a second copy for me shortly. The patterns are all there within the book, and the instructions are good. Amazing book of super cute toys. Good for all ages, the child making their own toys, the mother making things for her children, or the grandmother wanting to make cute toys for her grandchildren. This is a must have book in any sewing ...

    Love this book!

    In 1972 I bought two Joan Russell patterns and made the toys, saved the patterns. Recently I found those old patterns and used them again - imagine my surprise when I found the book for sale - it has the complete set of doll patterns that I enjoyed so much. I have just finished a doll and look forward to making more. The directions are clear and the patterns work, can’t ask for more.

    charming patterns

    Joan Russell designed wonderful dolls and stuffed animals for years for Woman's Day magazine. This book includes some of her best ones, in my opinion. I was sorry to find that the baby doll from around 1964 isn't in the book, though. The patterns are all full size, fortunately--no need to enlarge using graph paper or by resizing and printing. Just trace and go.
