There are twenty-four pages, two chapters, a Glossary, three recommended books, ways to navigate the internet for help in finding information, and an index. The photographs are colorful, real, and helpful in understanding the text. Explanations of why children wear braces and how they are just like other children are meaningful. Children in braces are like all children in that they enjoy having fun with friends. They have pets to care for like other children. Children with braces often have helpful sessions with physical therapists who teach them how to use walkers or crutches. These aids help the children go for walks and do most things other children can do. This book will be a fine addition in primary school libraries on shelves for health and social studies.
