Synopsis
At last--a casebook that focuses exclusively on sexual orientation and gender expression in relation to social work practice. The scenarios feature gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) individuals, couples, and families, and highlight GLBT issues in groups, organizations, communities, policy arenas, and research. The book also contains classroom exercises and suggested readings, making it a good resource for integrating GLBT content into the classroom. The casebook may be used as a complement to Morrow and Messinger's text, Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression in Social Work Practice: Working with Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender People (Columbia, 2006); on its own; or in conjunction with another textbook. The editors are award-winning teachers who have organized a casebook appropriate for use at the undergraduate or graduate level in practice, policy, human behavior and the social environment, research, and field education courses as well as in courses focusing specifically on GLBT clients., This casebook focuses on sexual orientation and gender expression in relation to social work practice. An excellent resource, it offers 29 cases illustrating the variety of issues facing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) people and communities in five practice settings-individuals, couples and families, communities and organizations, groups, and policy and research. The book also contains discussion questions, classroom exercises, and suggested readings for each case, so educators can easily integrate GLBT content into the classroom. Case Studies on Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression in Social Work Practice may be used on its own, in conjunction with another textbook, or as a complement to Deana F. Morrow and Lori Messinger's Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression in Social Work Practice: Working with Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender People (Columbia, 2006). Messinger and Morrow are award-winning teachers and their groundbreaking book is key for culturally competent undergraduate or graduate courses in practice, policy, human behavior and the social environment, research, and field education.

WOW! The condition is incredible for the price I paid - I thank the seller for accepting my offer as I'm poor and need all the help I can get in obtaining the more expensive otogizoshi & other medieval & ancient Japanese Literature that I'm looking for, so this seller really was generous with the price and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Packaged super safe, really fast shipping, and the book is like new, so much better than the Ad's description! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SELLER FOR SURE!!
