    Before the Pharaohs

    Just a book about the Sphinx. The Sphinx this, the Sphinx that, the Sphinx right, the Sphinx left, the Sphinx blah, the Sphinx, blah, the Sphinx blah. Yeah, it's that redundant. Some mention of Cro-magnon humans on the back cover, but no link to the Sphinx having been built by them within the text of the book, or the Neanderthals and their involvement in the project; which is what I was looking for because it is what I think happened. It does mention that Zahi Hawass is a pompous fool, which is partially true. He's also a sex addict who will only talk to people or let them bring cameras into his dirt mounds if they fulfill his sexual appetite. But that's about it. So the Sphinx was built of thousands of years before the Pyramids? What else is new? Fact is academia is a clusterfuque ...
