    I was wary of this purchase but after using it for two weeks nearly everyday for birdwatching, I'm convinced I made a wise purchase. For amateur birdwatching, these 3-in-1 binos are my first choice due to their compact size, their light weight, the option to share a monocular with a friend, or turn them into a 16x telescope to get the pattern or shape of a bird that's a little too far off. Not all will agree, but I am believe the best optics are the ones you carry with you and these will always come along. The zoom is not your standard for birdwatching but allows be to identify 75% of what I come across and the telescope feature adds another 10%. Not bad for something you can fit in a jacket pocket. For more serious optic needs, I can carry my big astronomer lenses to get that last 15%. If ...
