About this product

Product Information

A family veterinary practice is where players will be "working" in Imagine: Animal Doctor for Nintendo DS. Through a series of 14 mini-games, players must carefully diagnose each animal before beginning treatment. The stylus is used to move a stethoscope over an animal's skin, push an endoscope down its throat, and measure its weight on a scale. Players can even blow into the microphone to reveal pesky fleas lurking underneath an animal's fur. Once a diagnosis is reached, care is administered to the animal until it recovers. This includes petting, feeding, and playing with the animals until they are ready to be returned to their concerned owners. Over time players can purchase new equipment and supplies to help care for new animals, from dogs and cats to pigs and horses. Animal Doctor also supports the ability to transfer treated horses to owners of Petz: Horsez 2 on DS.

    Fun to start but then it gets boring!

    Imagine: Animal Doctor for Nintendo DS/DS Lite is a cute game where you diagnose, play with, pet, feed, and clean the animals. Most of your time is spent feeding the animals. You begin with building a cat pen and caring for cats and move from there to dogs, then rabbits, pigs, and to date horses. The main objective for this game is to strengthen your reputation by caring for the animals and your facilities. You are able to change the hair color of the character (4 choices), the clothing can also be changed. The choices come in 4's. You can name your character, but she remains a girl. It is a fun game but even for the younger ones, it gets boring after the first few weeks. I recommend it for animal lovers of any age. It would be an added benefit is the game were to tell you what each of ...

    Cute and Fun! Not Super Educational, but Cool!

    Imagine: Animal Doctor for Nintendo DS/DS Lite is a cute game where you diagnose, play with, pet, feed, and clean the animals. You start off by buying a cat pen and then you move to dogs and later you get rabbits, pigs, and horses. The main objective is to strengthen your reputation by taking care of the animals and your facilities. It is fun and deffinatley great for a younger audience. I think girls and boys would like this, although the main character you play is a girl. I recommend it for animal lovers of any age. However, I wish it were more educational. It would be amazing if it told you what each medical procedure does in real life and used more lifelike ways to diagnose the animals. Perhaps even went into pet first aid. This game does not do this. It would be even better ...

    Okay!

    I dislike the name of the game. I spent an hour looking for a Vet game but came up short on my searches. Finally I had to ruin the birthday surprise and ask my daughter what the name of the game is! Maybe it's just me but "Animal Doctor" doesn't stick out when you're searching for "Veterinarian" I still give it an EXCELLENT though because everything else is just Peachy Keen

    Great Product

    My son loves it and wants to be a vet when he grows up...this gives him a sample experience. I decided to buy this for him as a gift because he is doing so well in school (my son is 9). He has loved this game so far...I would purchase again!
